Interest in walkable and bikeable communities has never been higher. People want to live in places where they can walk and bike, as well as visit places they can walk and bike. Civic leaders are recognizing the opportunities and understanding the benefits.
As a result, communities of all sizes and settings are investing in walking and biking infrastructure, trails and transit. In doing so, they’re improving connectivity, embracing placemaking, and ensuring safety and access for all.
Join the 2018 Indiana Bike & Walk Summit to learn from fellow Hoosiers leading such efforts, hear best practices, celebrate the progress and be inspired to help shape Indiana’s active transportation future.
This year’s theme, Leading Locally for Active Transportation, will offer representatives of cities and towns throughout the state a chance to showcase their efforts and to learn from others working here in Indiana and around the nation. We’re excited to use this education and training event to advance access, safety, connectivity and fun for people who walk, bike and ride transit. We look forward to your participation!
There will be something for everyone at the Indiana Bike & Walk Summit. Whether you’re from the private sector or a public agency; a community advocate or paid professional; interested in transportation, economic development, health or something else entirely.
