Landscape Architects Stand Up for Climate Change

Posted on May 07, 2017 12:00 am

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is requesting public comment on recent Executive Orders to eliminate federal programs and policies that protect and preserve our planet’s sustainability, including policies that address climate change and mitigate its impacts. Help us uphold landscape architects’ long-standing value of stewardship of the natural environment. Sign onto ASLA’s letterto Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt urging him to reconsider recent actions that will endanger our planet. Also, please forward to your chapter members and colleagues and encourage them to sign onto the letter, too.

ASLA wants to submit the letter signed by at least 1,000 landscape architects, including landscape architecture students into the official record that requests public comment on Presidential Actions Related to Regulatory Reform.

If you have not already done so, Take action—sign the letter today!

Call for Nominees for Indiana Chapter of ASLA

Dear INASLA Membership,

I have the pleasure of serving with an amazing group of dedicated and talented landscape architects who comprise your Executive Committee for the Indiana Chapter.  They have a range of skills and experiences, and their collective talent has helped us accomplish great things on behalf of the Society so far this year.  If you know of a fellow member of the Chapter that you would like to nominate for a position on the Executive Committee for the 2017-2018 term, please complete the nomination form and submit to office@inasla.org (or PO Box 441195, Indianapolis, IN  46244) before Saturday, June 10th.  You can nominate anyone that is a current member in good standing with the Society.  We will take care of contacting them later to gauge their interest, so you do not need to obtain their consent prior to nomination.  It is a great honor to serve on behalf of our fellow professionals, and the experience is one that will change you forever and strengthen your conviction toward the work that we all do as stewards of our world.  Thanks!

Sincerely,

Bill Kincius, PLA, ASLA,
President, INASLA
